
Middle School Bike Club
Serving Mount Vernon, Burlington-Edison, and Sedro-Woolley School Districts
Through a partnership with Cascade Bicycle Club and funding from Washington's Climate Commitment Act, our middle-schoolers learn bike safety, repair skills, laws, and the benefits of cycling. Program participants also have the opportunity to earn a bike of their own!

Bike Club participants meet weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 2-5pm.

Get Involved
We’re always seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with bike club activities. The club meets from 2-5pm three days per week.
Volunteer responsibilities include preparing snacks, providing homework support, and helping with bike riding practice.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can students participate?
COV alumni are given priority registration. Students who have not participated in Children of the Valley can register if they meet certain qualifications, but space is limited. Please inquire with Site Coordinator Stephanie Alaniz at stephanie@covmv.org for more information regarding these qualifications.
When and where is the bike club?
Our Bike Club rotates throughout the year between Cascade Middle School in Sedro-Woolley, La Venture Middle School in Mount Vernon, and West View School in Burlington. Participants meet a few afternoons each week for weekly Bike Club sessions. View the schedule at the top of the page for our 2026 calendar.
How are students earning a bike?
This program is made possible in partnership with the Cascade Bicycle Club and the Climate Commitment Act. Thanks to these partnerships, students who complete the program have the opportunity to earn a bike!
