Frequently Asked Questions
How can students participate?
COV alumni are given priority registration. Students who have not participated in Children of the Valley can register if they meet certain qualifications, but space is limited. Please inquire with Site Coordinator Stephanie Alaniz at stephanie@covmv.org for more information regarding these qualifications.
When and where is the bike club?
Bike Club runs four sessions a year—fall, winter, spring, and summer—each lasting about six weeks. Participants meet a few afternoons per week, with the location rotating between Cascade Middle School (Sedro-Woolley), La Venture Middle School (Mount Vernon), and West View School (Burlington).
How are students earning a bike?
This program is made possible in partnership with the Cascade Bicycle Club and the Climate Commitment Act. Thanks to these partnerships, students who complete the program have the opportunity to earn a bike!
